Many times these operations are exactly like a film scene. Police also keep the names of these operations very interesting. One such operation has been carried out by Rajasthan Police. The name of this police operation was ‘Operation Lallan Top’. This operation was carried out by Rajasthan Police under the leadership of IG Vikas Kumar. Under Operation Lallan Top, the police have arrested 3 accused who were absconding for 12 years in the Phalodi murder case.
These three accused had fled away after killing the accountant of former Sonamukhi factory in Phalodi police station area 12 years ago and looting cash worth Rs 1.5 lakh. The arrested accused have been identified as Laldev, Uday and Ramesh. The team of Jodhpur Range Police has succeeded in arresting them after about two months of hard work. Phalodi’s Satta Bazaar and Sojat’s Mehndi also played a role in uncovering this years-old incident of murder and robbery and reaching out to the criminals.
The operation was carried out in film style
In fact, when the police engaged in search of the accused was successful in reaching the criminals, their Phalodi scandal was exposed due to the criminals having special information related to Phalodi’s betting market and Sojat’s mehendi for applying on hair. To make this operation successful, the team of police officers carried out the operation in a film style.
Made the operation successful by disguising himself
Police officers in disguise were constantly keeping an eye on the accused and collecting information. Some police officers were disguising themselves as laborers and some were selling coconuts and keeping an eye on these accused. Even to carry out the operation, some police officers played the role of everything from harvesting fields to herding cows and buffaloes. Wherever the police got information about the whereabouts of these accused, different teams used to go and carry out the operation. The accused were also not small, their network was spread from Bihar to Andhra Pradesh and Punjab. Other cases including murder, kidnapping have also come to light against the three accused. There are also allegations against him of having links with Naxalites. There was a reward of Rs 40-40 thousand on the three arrested accused.
Murdered while under the influence of alcohol
IG Vikas Kumar told Local 18 that Laldev, Uday and Naresh, who worked as laborers in the Sonamukhi factory located in Kheechan town of Phalodi police station, got the factory accountant Kojaram under the influence of alcohol, strangled him to death and kept one and a half rupees with him. Had absconded with cash worth lakhs. At that time there were neither mobile phones nor CCTV cameras, due to which the accused could have been caught. Their names, addresses and photographs were also not available.
That’s why one and a half lakh cash was looted
IG Range Vikas Kumar told Local18 about the arrested accused that the three accused wanted to do big business to improve their standard of living due to adverse family circumstances. But for this he needed money and hence he came to Phalodi Khekhan village of Rajasthan and started working as a laborer in Sonamukhi factory. Seeing the transaction worth lakhs, they started carrying out the incident.
Accountant Kojaram used to do most of the transactions of the factory and the accused took Kojaram into confidence and started eating and drinking together. On December 12, 2012, after a liquor party, he was drunk and strangled to death with the intention of robbery and escaped with cash worth Rs 1.5 lakh kept with the accountant after burying it under sacks filled with gold coins. On the success of the operation, IG Vikas Kumar patted his team on the back and said that such results have been achieved due to team spirit. The entire team risked their lives and executed Operation Lallan Top.
